All of us experience pain at some point in our lives. When we experience pain it oozes out in various areas of our life. Due to some traumatic experiences I developed many unhealthy coping experiences. During my recovery I have found that using a pallet knife to cut in acrylic paints is hugely therapeutic.
I use abstracts as a way of releasing the emotions within me – it gives me a voice. I find that these paintings connect at a deep level to a lot of people. They find that it also gives them a voice. I use my abstracts to raise awareness and to be an advocate of those experiencing mental health conditions.
